Our Story
Flora and Mykal met in college when they both joined the ballroom dance team. Their desire to compete and willingness to learn brought them together. They competed in several dance competitions as partners. Flora and Mykal both claim to have initiated their first date over bulgogi, but who could say?
Their love of food, dance, and each other has brought them to where they are today.
Flora and Mykal share their lives with their 2 cats, Fiona (named aptly after Princess Fiona from Shrek - kuddos to Gloria, Flora's Granny on the naming there) and Mango (a recent addition, Feb 2024)
The 2 cats are spoilt rotten. A fun tidbit about them: The couple paid homage to their fur children on the physical wedding invites, see the 2 pairs of eyes near the bottom of the page.
Flora and Mykal's first dance together was a Standard Foxtrot, and their first competitive dance was Smooth Tango. Currently they dance Bachata relatively weekly and spend the rest of their time together doing domestic chores.
